Christopher Lee Herod is an actor, filmmaker, and content creator based just outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Born in Beaumont, Texas, he moved to Tennessee at the age of two and graduated from Springfield High School in 2003. During high school, he was an active member of the Drama Club and competed in the Tennessee High School Speech and Drama League (THSSDL), while also participating in sports—particularly wrestling and soccer.

After graduation, Christopher spent the summer at Parris Island, South Carolina, training to become a United States Marine. He went on to serve 10 years on active duty, completing three deployments to Iraq and three to Afghanistan as an Avionics Technician, Quality Assurance Representative, and Aerial Gunner on Sikorsky CH-53D/E helicopters. During this time, he met his former wife, and together they welcomed two daughters: Kimberly Anne Herod (born August 2005) and Emily Ruth Herod (born December 2006).

Following his military service, Christopher moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, where he worked for L3 Communications and enlisted in the Army Reserves to serve as a Drill Sergeant. After nine months, he sought a change of pace and enrolled at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi as a Mechanical Engineering student. In his senior year, a required fine arts class—The Art of Theatre—rekindled his passion for acting. He changed his major to Theatre with a concentration in acting and directing, also earning an undergraduate certificate in Dance.

After graduating in 2017, Christopher moved to Round Rock, Texas (outside Austin), to pursue acting and filmmaking full time. He taught Acting, Improv, and Movement for Actors at institutions such as ZACH Theatre, Georgetown Palace Theatre, Sam Bass Theatre, Pollyanna Theatre Company, and served as Creative Director for John Robert Powers.

In 2019, he was hired as Assistant Technical Director and Director at Timberlake Playhouse. He later relocated to the Nashville area, where his filmmaking career gained momentum. In February 2024, Label22 Records—a veteran-run label in Nashville—announced Christopher as its Director of Film. A year later, in March 2025, after serving as Director of Photography for the feature film Bachelor Santa, he was appointed Director of Production for Kentucky Sound Stage in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Today, Christopher continues to work both in front of and behind the camera throughout Nashville, Owensboro, and the surrounding areas. He owns and operates RiverCity Production Rentals, Caught Red Candid Photography, and Christopher Lee Herod Productions, while also managing daily operations at Kentucky Sound Stage and serving as Director of Film for Label22.

A dedicated philanthropist, Christopher also leads Stoned Hero Productions, a nonprofit through which he provides free camera services to fellow veterans—his way of continuing to serve others and give back to the community.
