Christopher Lee Herod was born in Beaumont, TX, but grew up just outside of Nashville, TN. In high school he was part of Springfield High School's Drama Club and competed in Tennessee High School Speech and Drama League (THSSDL) in Pantomime. He also enjoyed all sports but focused mostly on wrestling and soccer.
Graduating from high school in 2003, he spent his summer at Parris Island, South Carolina for his Senior vacation where he trained to be a United States Marine; Christopher Lee Herod spent the next 10 years on active duty completing 3 deployments to Iraq and 3 deployments to Afghanistan as an Avionics Technician, Quality Assurance Representative, and Aerial Gunner on CH-53D/E helicopters. During his time on active duty, Christopher met his (former) wife and has two beautiful daughters, Kimberly Anne Herod(2005) and Emily Ruth Herod (2006).
Upon completion of active duty service in the Marines, Christopher Lee Herod moved to Corpus Christi, TX, taking a job with L3 Communications and enlisting in the Army Reserves to be a Drill Sergeant. After 9 months, Christopher felt he needed a change of pace and enrolled to be a Mechanical Engineering student at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. Christopher was required to take a fine arts class and chose the Art of Theatre class which reignited his passion for acting. Christopher was inspired to change his major to Theatre with a focus on acting and directing as well as pursuit of an undergraduate certificate in Dance.
Since graduating from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, Christopher moved to Round Rock to pursue acting and filmmaking full time. Christopher frequently teaches at Zach Theatre, Georgetown Palace Theatre, as well as other theaters in the region. You will often find Christopher wearing many different hats spreading across the productions he works when not acting.
Outside of productions, Christopher enjoys spending time with his family and living life as full as possible. You can find Christopher riding with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association TX 23-7 chapter, hiking, at the beach, practicing his marksmanship, or flying his DJI Phantom 4 drone. Christopher is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor.
