Christopher Lee Herod is an actor, filmmaker, and content creator living outside of Nashville, TN. Christopher was born in Beaumont Texas and moved to Tennessee at the age 2 until graduating from Springfield High School in 2003. In high school, he was in the Drama Club and competed in Tennessee High School Speech and Drama League (THSSDL). He also enjoyed playing all sports focusing mostly on wrestling and soccer.

After graduation, he spent his summer at Parris Island, South Carolina for his Senior vacation where he trained to be a United States Marine; Christopher spent the next 10 years on active duty completing 3 deployments to Iraq and 3 deployments to Afghanistan as an Avionics Technician, Quality Assurance Representative, and Aerial Gunner on Sikorsky CH-53D/E helicopters. During his time on active duty, Christopher met his (former) wife and together they brought two beautiful daughters, Kimberly Anne Herod ( Aug, 2005) and Emily Ruth Herod (Dec, 2006) into the world. 

Upon completion of active duty service in the Marines, Christopher moved to Corpus Christi, TX, taking a job with L3 Communications and enlisting in the Army Reserves to be a Drill Sergeant. After 9 months, Christopher felt he needed a change of pace and enrolled to be a Mechanical Engineering student at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. In his senior year, Christopher was required to take a fine arts class and chose the Art of Theatre class which reignited his passion for acting. Christopher was inspired to change his major to Theatre with a focus on acting and directing as well as pursuit of an undergraduate certificate in Dance. 

Christopher graduated from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, Christopher moved to Austin (Round Rock) to pursue acting and filmmaking full time. Christopher frequently taught Acting, Improv, and Movement for Actors at Zach Theatre, Georgetown Palace Theatre, Sam Bass Theatre as well as for Pollyanna Theatre Company and John Robert Powers as a Creative Director

 

In 2019, Christopher was hired to work as an Assistant Technical Director & Director for Timberlake Playhouse and moved to the Nashville area afterword. Christopher now works in front and behind the camera in Nashville and surrounding areas while owning Caught Red Candid Photography and Christopher Lee Herod Productions.

Christopher believes in philanthropy work as well and spends a wealth of time providing camera services to fellow veterans free of charge as his way of continuing service above self.
